Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems.
- Test and verify fire warning systems, including smoke detectors, horns, and sensors.
- Read electrical drawings and system blueprints to ensure proper installation.
- Program and upgrade fire alarm control panels (FACP) and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety codes and standards (NFPA, BS, or local regulations).
- Conduct periodic system testing to detect faults and perform necessary repairs.
- Install electrical wiring and circuits while following safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in emergency situations and prepare reports.
- Train building staff and users on the effective operation of fire alarm systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Fire Alarm or Electrical Systems.
- Hands-on experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of fire safety and system standards (NFPA 72, BS 5839, etc.).
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and fire system layouts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and electronic equipment.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and respond quickly in emergencies.
